2013 ABWA Conference

March 2014 Message

March is nearly over and spring has officially begun. We didn't really get much of a winter, so you may not have noticed.

I had an opportunity to go to the Good Teaching Conference South put on by the California Teachers Association this past weekend in Anaheim. I saw some really great speakers with some very good ideas on how to better serve my students.

We had a delicious St. Patrick’s Day dinner which was also during my Spring Break. Even though not all of you are Irish as I am, I hope you celebrated anyway.

I also spent a day with 2 of my daughters in Santa Barbara. We took the train there and back and spent time on State Street eating and shopping.

We are planning to do this trip with our chapter in August since we have no meeting that day. It is a wonderful day trip since you can relax on the train before and after. More details to come.

Everyone is doing an amazing job getting the fashion show put together. Please make sure to get in your raffle items (or $20 donation) to Faith this week. Also remember, we will not have a regular meeting in April due to the fashion show!
